Dont Let the Winter Blues Get You Down

Posted by Dave Fuller on

SAD or Seasonal Affective Disorder affects about 1 in 20 people to a serious degree, however many more Canadians feel the winter blues starting to set in with the longer nights and darker days.

There are a few things you can do to feel better

1. Get outside and do some walking. Try to get some sun on your skin if its not too cold and close your eyes and let your eyelids suck in the sun.

2. Excercise.. This makes most people feel better because it helps you increase your energy levels and helps brain chemicals make you feel better

3. Vitamin D capsules have shown a noticeable difference for people. Some of our customers tell us how much it makes their moods better in the winter.

4. Sunlights or bright lights inside your house can make a difference to how you feel. Also make sure to open the blinds and let the light come in!

You don't need to feel blue this winter... try some of these techniques to feel better
